Around 2000 years ago, a young man in his thirties was executed even though he was innocent of any crime. He could have prevented his own death, but he didn't because he knew that a greater good would come out of it. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, gave up his life as a sacrifice for a sinful world.
I am a daily sinner and don't deserve to live forever, but because Jesus gave his life away and his Father brought him back from the dead, I am going to live forever. I am completely indebted to Christ for his loving and amazing sacrifice. Anything I accomplish in this life is because of Him.
There is nothing on earth that you can turn to for fulfillment. People will let you down. Drugs will kill you. Sin might feel good for a second, but will leave you empty in the long run. Glorifying yourself doesn't get you anywhere.
Today's kids are raised in a society that offers no hope... a society that encourages you to do what you want, do what feels good, for yourself and only yourself. The good news is that there is hope, and that hope is found in Jesus Christ. He is in full control! He loves you more than you could ever imagine and accepts you no matter how many times you've messed up. Sounds simple? It really is!
And this hope isn't just for "eternal life," it's for this life too... right here, right now. Jesus does the things that I myself can't. He shows me the perfect love that nobody else can show me.
Life isn't always easy. We go through trials every day. But it's a wonderful thing to know that my God is faithful, in his wisdom and timing, to give me much more than I could ask for. In Heaven, yes, but here on earth as well. His promises are true! I thank him for helping me grow daily and helping me focus on the things that really matter.
If you have any questions about this hope that I have, please sign the guestbook and ask for my email address!
