Gateway.com headquarters was moving from San Diego to New England and I needed to visit the San Diego site to learn some procedures. Thankfully on my last day I got to leave work early and take my rented Mitsubishi Montero Sport out to the beach. Since this was my first visit to California, it was also my first chance to see the sun set over the Pacific Ocean. What a spectacular sight! Beach at Torrey Pines State Reservation The birds enjoyed the sunset too San Diego seagull The beach I chose was at Torrey Pines State Reserve, between LaJolla and Del Mar. Although I didn't make it into the reserve itself, the beach was wonderful. It is located about a half hour north of San Diego.
