Model of Jerusalem
Before lunch, we visited a model of the city of Jerusalem that captures the city in time at approximately 70AD. The intricate detail of this model that was created in the sixties is truly amazing. It gives the visitor an excellent feel for the scale of things back around the time of Christ and certainly "put together" many of the puzzle pieces we had visited.

Bethlehem
Surprisingly, there wasn't a whole lot to see in Bethlehem. It is currently under Palestinian control and is being cleaned up for the Year 2000. Many churches and chapels line the area where Christ may have been born. Street vendors line all the other areas.
The highlight of our Bethlehem visit was a stop at the Shepherds' Field which reminds us of the shepherds to whom Gabriel appeared when Jesus born. Some cute little children who live in the area approached us tourists, showing off their cute little lamb in hopes of getting some candy or shekels.
