Minora at the Kenesset
The huge minora located across the street from the Kenesset (Israeli Parliament) building was donated by the British Parliament. Each branch of the minora is divided into sections. In every section, there is a relief which shows a portion of Israel's history, including many well-known stories from the Bible.
Shorashim of the Old City
Our tour guide is friends with a rabbi (teacher) who runs a gift shop in the Jewish Quarter of Old Jerusalem. He is a very well-learned, well-spoken man who freely answers any questions his visitors have about Judaism. The store's business card reads, "Our store is dedicated to transmit to all who seek to know, an understanding of Judaism and Israel, its values, its principles and its traditions. All the items in the shop reflect the timeless verses of the Bible and the majestic beauty of the Land of Israel. Please feel free to contact us with any of your questions. --Moshe & Dov Kempinski" You can visit Moshe & Dov's store online at http://shorashim.net.
