Ein Gedi
Unfortunately, we arrived at Ein Gedi too late to go inside. However, we stood at the edge and observed the beauty of this desert oasis.
This is the place where David hid from Saul (see I Samuel 23:29 & ch. 24). Today, the natural springs and beautiful plant life make it an ideal haven for hiders and hikers alike. We were priviliged enough to see four ibex (a type of wild goat) walk right by us on the rocks.
