| Day 6 was "free day." We got to break into small groups and take off into whatever part of Jerusalem we chose. I went with four friends to the Shrine of the Book, the City Ramparts, and the Jewish Quarter. After High Tea at the King David Hotel with the rest of our group, we visited Zion Square. |

Shrine of the Book
The Shrine of the Book is the location where many of the Dead Sea Scrolls are held. I was able to view an actual piece of the scroll that contains the book of Isaiah. The exhibit also displays many other relics related to document translation as well as replicas of important scrolls, including the entire book of Isaiah which is kept in a circular case at the center of the shrine. The shrine is shaped like the cover of the jars the scrolls were found in.
